The Historical Perspective on Colonial-Era Legacies and the New Colonial Historiography

This article aims to reveal the fundamental problems of the new colonial-era studies in advocating the intersectional whiteness paradigm as a new grand interpretation of not only Western history, but also of entire world history. The problem perhaps evolves not so much from the whiteness paradigm itself as from the colonial historians' inadequate historical thinking. For analyzing this problem, the focus should not be on any particular philosophy of history, but on the fundamentals of historical thinking itself. History belongs also to sociological understanding of the world. The problem is not about the philosophy of science, but about basic methodology relevant to historical studies and to historically informed sociology.
